Many travelers choose to stay one night in Bukit Lawang before beginning their trek into Gunung Leuser National Park. Staying overnight gives you time to relax after your journey, meet your trekking guide, prepare your belongings, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Bukit Lawang.

You can also stay an additional night after your jungle trek to rest and recover before continuing your journey to Medan, Kualanamu International Airport, Berastagi, or Lake Toba.

If you are joining our 2-day, 3-day, 4-day, or 5-day jungle trek, you do not need to carry your large suitcase or unnecessary backpack into the rainforest.
