Our 2 Days 1 Night Jungle Trek is one of the most popular adventures in Bukit Lawang, offering the perfect balance of wildlife exploration, jungle camping, and unforgettable rainforest experiences. Designed for nature lovers and adventure seekers, this trek takes you deeper into the protected rainforest of Gunung Leuser National Park, where you'll spend a night surrounded by the sounds of the jungle.

Throughout the journey, our experienced licensed local guides will lead you along beautiful rainforest trails while sharing their knowledge about the park's incredible biodiversity, wildlife, medicinal plants, and local traditions. You'll have the opportunity to search for wild Sumatran orangutans and may also encounter Thomas Leaf Monkeys, Long-tailed Macaques, Pig-tailed Macaques, White-handed Gibbons, Great Hornbills, Monitor Lizards, and many other rainforest species.

As evening approaches, you'll arrive at a peaceful riverside campsite where our team will prepare a delicious traditional dinner. Relax beside the campfire, enjoy the natural surroundings, and spend the night in comfortable jungle tents beneath the rainforest canopy.

The following morning, continue exploring different sections of the rainforest before finishing your adventure with an exciting traditional river tubing ride back to Bukit Lawang.

Day 1

09:00 AM – Meet Your Guide

Meet your licensed local guide at our office in Bukit Lawang for a welcome briefing before entering the national park.

09:30 AM – Begin the Trek

Start trekking through the beautiful rainforest while learning about the unique ecosystem of Gunung Leuser National Park.

11:00 AM – Wildlife Exploration

Search for wild orangutans and other rainforest animals while exploring scenic jungle trails.

Complete your adventure with an exciting traditional river tubing journey along the Bohorok River back to Bukit Lawang.
